About the Artist

Ciaran McQuiston uses papermaking, printmaking, writing, and sculpture to consider the inextricable connections between the body and mind, as reflected in the natural environment. The earth’s materials, and the conflicts — and congruencies — of its many bodies, reflect the human experience in visceral ways. Human experiences of growth and change are reflected in the use of natural materials.

She has exhibited work at The Detroit Artists Market, New Lab, Wasserman Projects, Talking Dolls, Forum Gallery at Cranbrook Academy of Art, the Pinboard Gallery at Cranbrook Academy of Art, the Murphy Arts Center, the Middle Space Gallery at Cat Head Press, the Indianapolis Art Center, Garfield Park Arts Center, the Harrison Center, Primary Colors, Herron School of Art, and virtually through the Cranbrook Art Museum and Social Distance Gallery.

She has taught at the Cranbrook Art Museum, Cranbrook Academy of Art, Indianapolis Art Center, and Cat Head Press.
